What we offer

During the first session an online psychologist will work with you to get a detailed understanding of your current situation. Some individuals come to therapy with a clear idea of what they would like to work on, others are not sure where the problem lies. We will help you to specify the areas you wish to work on and support you to consider your goals. Together we will develop your individualised plan with specific steps on how you can achieve your goals. If any of the above look familiar or you are experiencing difficulty with another area of your life, then please contact us today to find out how we can help.

Discounted Initial Appointment with Positive Mind Works

An initial appointment is offered at a reduced rate to help you and the therapist decide if this is the right service for you. Our online psychologists specialise in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. While these approaches are known to be effective for many common concerns, it is also not a ‘quick fix’. Ultimately your success will depend on the time and commitment you make toward therapy. Our work is focused on helping you to achieve sustainable change that will last long after the sessions finish.

A typical course of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is between 4 and 12 sessions, but your therapist may offer more or less depending on your needs.

How Can an Online Psychologist Help?

While it is important to have friends to talk to about life’s issues, talking to a psychologist is very different. Not only does a psychologist provide a  safe and non-judgemental space to discuss things openly; a psychologist is also able to provide insight and practical strategies to help you bring about positive change.
